Dr. Mark Ogletree
Dr. Ogletree has been engaged in Marriage and Family Therapy since 1991. He interned at Desert Vista Hospital as an assessment clinician, and then entered private practice as a marriage and family therapist at the East Valley Counseling Center in Mesa, Arizona. He also has worked at LDS Family Services in Logan, Utah, and Dallas, Texas. In 2008, he opened his own counseling practice in McKinney, Texas where he worked as a full-time therapist.
Besides family therapy, Mark also worked in the Church Educational System for 21 years. In the summer of 2010, he accepted a faculty position at Brigham Young University. Presently, he is an associate professor in the Church History and Doctrine Department where he teaches courses on marital preparation and the living prophets. He also runs his part-time counseling practice, Treehouse Associates, in Orem, Utah.
Mark has traveled the country, speaking for Brigham Young University Continuing Education programs. He is also a frequent speaker at BYU's Education Week. Dr. Ogletree has also written several books and articles in academic journals. Some of his books include:
